Presenting myself as Denise Marston, managing director of DEA Aesthetics and Wellness for the past 4 and a half years, and having over 20 years of experience in the industry as an aesthetician and director/trainer of branded products as distributor and teaching beauty. From a government employee of which also served years ago the Ministry of Health, where I built up my knowledge, character and learnt more going forward as customer care by being close to individuals and leading me to Masters Diploma in aesthetics. I would say that I was born as an entrepreneur and inherited it running in my blood, the urge to create and employ others. As a girl, I dreamt to take over my father’s business and spent hours and most of my school holidays by his side to help and learn his industry by being his shadow, watching attentively his moves and ways. Until tragedy struck myself and my family by losing him when I was only 10/11 years old. My life felt crushed and my dreams shattered. On the other other hand, his will and courage grew inside of me more and more through the years, facing obstacles and disappointments, yet still made it through to be in this position. I won Best Emerging Entrepreneur 2019 at Malta’s Best Entrepreneur Awards organised by Dynamic Events, which encouraged me to give more and keep on my mission, to create better business anew with Covid-19, difficult but still here in the best way I can. It makes a difference having to make it all alone as a single mother, with personal relationship obstacles and financial instability for past two years, fighting the virus and to be here is an honour. My goal is one day to write a biography to help encourage and inspire others to not give up on their dreams.

GymStars was literally designed from the ground up, becoming the largest gymnastic centre on the island. GymStars opened its doors to the public in July 2003 with only 40 registered members and 3 coaching staff. It is now the most established gymnastics centre on the island catering for children as young as 18 months to National Team members. The Malta Midwives Association is a Voluntary, Non-profit Organisation. Established in 1974 with the motto Amor Custos Vitae. It is the only Association wholly administered by midwives operating in Malta and Gozo., On the one hand, the MMA celebrates, supports, and connects midwives by offering on-going events with a view to enhancing the confidence, professional practice, and evidence-based knowledge, of midwives., The main focus are the myriad of courses offered for the benefit of childbearing women and their families. Its clients are normally pleasantly surprised by the person-focused approach . This is the cornerstone of the MMA’s programmes., The MMA keeps abreast of current philosophies and practices through its international affiliations.
Niumee Concept Esthetique was established in June 2016, previously known as Me & Co Ltd. Maria Bugeja Niumee`s founder & CEO, who initially started off as a receptionist within Saint James Hospital, Zabbar; working up the roles all the way up to the board of directors and eventually CEO.
